How the builder plans your route
France's fast trains fan out from Paris, so the builder starts you there and picks the one direction (northwest, east, southeast, south or southwest) that best matches your interests and season. It gives each stop enough nights to be worth the move, adds day trips from Paris when you have time, and flags places that need a car or close for the season.
Day 1 is your arrival day. Overnight flights from the US land in the morning, so plan a gentle first afternoon. Your flight home comes after the last day shown.
Saving and sharing
“Save this trip” keeps the plan in this browser, so it's here when you come back. “Copy share link” makes a link that opens this exact plan for anyone you send it to: a travel partner, family, or us. “Ask us to plan it” sends the route to our planning form so we can turn it into a booked trip.
Insider tip
If your route ends far from Paris, price an open-jaw ticket: fly into Paris and home from Nice or another city. It can save a long day on the train.
